Our caller, Randy, has a question about ALTA surveys. Randy is wondering whether a significant proportion of ALTA surveys are incorrect. And if so, what is the margin of error? While it is not possible to define the margin of error, we share how human inaccuracies in traditional surveying results in poor quality data.

How can you expect to get accurate survey data when surveyor associates (without surveying licenses) are the ones making measurements? Other factors such as the use of wooden markers, manually jotting down survey measurements, and hand-drawn survey drawings further contribute to data inaccuracy.

In contrast, when you opt for a drone survey, you introduce many layers of efficiencies while significantly paring down human intervention.
