Our caller, Scott from Denver has come up with a rather unique question today. Scott’s question is about using a LiDAR drone in search and rescue. LiDAR or Light Detection and Ranging, unlike photogrammetry, can penetrate dense vegetation to accurately map earth’s topography. However, can a LiDAR drone penetrate snow, and rescue folks buried in an avalanche?
