How to identify a professional drone pilot to hire and partner with?

The best ways to identify a professional drone pilot? How to avoid working with pilots who are not experts in the field?

Today’s episode is brought to you by PROPS programs. Props is Drone U’s exclusive offering to give organizations the ability to distribute UAV training to pilots effectively and efficiently. PROPS allows the leader of a drone program, to assign the appropriate courses according to your program’s needs and timeframes. And perhaps more importantly, it allows you as the program leader to monitor the progress of each pilot within one convenient platform. Our PROPS program has a special course on a host of domains including mapping, public safety and our exclusive Don’t Crash courses.

Today’s question is from Jennifer who would like to know about the ways in which she can identify a professional drone pilot to hire and work with. Jennifer would like to know how she can effectively filter out drone pilots that do not operate in a professional way and how she can hire a trained pilot.

Thanks for the question Jennifer. A very valid ask considering the drone industry is seeing exponential growth and demand for drone pilot skyrockets. But how can customers effectively weed out the ones who present themselves as professionals vs the true professionals? We start off today show by providing Jennifer practical approach to hiring pilots. One effective way is to reach out to past students of Drone U who have successfully completed flight mastery classes and bootcamps to ensure the right pilot is hired.

An alternative way we discuss in today’s show is asking the right questions to drone pilots and validating their responses to standard expectations from pilots. We discuss primary flight movement questions, battery management questions, emergency maneuver questions and more.

Tune in to this detail packed podcast if you want to learn more about how you can showcase your drone proficiency to ensure faster hiring from clients or how as a client you can identify the right drone pilot for your need.
