Why You Should Watch: We went over the proposed FAA rules, including the problems and dangers facing everyone from hobbyists to commercial operators, and even future students.  NPRM107 has significant flaws that will impact everyone in this industry, and the problems with it run deep.  For example, did you know that if these rules pass, you would need a letter from a foreign aviation authority just to register your DJI Inspire 1?  That's right...the rules as they are currently proposed would dictate that foreign manufacturers of vehicles would require you to obtain a letter from the foreign aviation authority stating the vehicle hasn't been previously registered.  This legislation is riddled with problems, and you better ensure you know all of them in order to educate the community and comment before it's too late.
