Webinar Replay: Subject Tracking Deep Dive - How to Film Moving Objects & Still Get Smooth, Amazing Footage

Originally Aired:Monday, June 08, 2015 at 7 pm EST. Have you ever tried to follow a car, boat or bike, only to find that keeping them in frame was really difficult, if not impossible?  Or maybe your camera motions were very quick and jerky, not at all smooth?  Subject tracking with your drone can be one of the more difficult skills to master.  But it is also one of the most important aspects of any great drone pilot, especially those desiring to get paid (and well) for their skills. This week we take a "deep dive" into the skill and technique of subject tracking with your drone and camera.  There are some key flight maneuvers that can dramatically help you get that smooth, seamless footage, even in the most difficult scenarios. As we often say, smooth cinematic footage is one of THE, if not the, biggest differentiating factors between people who fly toys and those who fly tools.  Continue to progress your piloting and videography skills by joining us in this informative webinar. By the way, as a reminder, only Drone U members have access to the replays. Membership is very affordable for this, so if you're not a member be sure and don't miss this, or you can consider joining hereby clicking here.

You will learn the following:

  1. Specific flight maneuvers that are key to subject tracking.
  2. Camera settings and filters for high speed filming.
  3. Camera paths and movements that will smooth out your footage.
  4. Hand motions and combos for dynamic cinematic shots (the "money" shots).
  5. Understanding your orientation in relation to the subject.
  6. Things you can do to start practicing these maneuvers.
Why You Should Watch: If you have ever tried tracking moving objects you know that it can be a very challenging skill to master, especially when you are trying to do it while capturing smooth, cinematic quality footage. If you've struggled with this, want to take your skill to the next level, or just want to learn so you can start, then this webinar has something for everyone in it. Check it out and you'll be able to take some practical steps to get better footage while tracking moving subjects.
